 Hastelloy X Alloy is a nickel-chromium-iron-molybdenum alloy that possess an exceptional combination of oxidation resistance and high temperature strength, while still being easy to fabricate.  It has also been found to be exceptionally resistant to stress-corrosion cracking in petro-chemical applications.  This alloy exhibits good ductility after prolonged exposure at temperatures of 1200°, 1400°, and 1600° (650°, 760°, 870° Celsius) for up to 16,000 hours.

 Hastelloy x alloy has wide use in the gas turbine engines for combustion zone components.  Hastelloy X alloy is recommended for use in industrial furnace applications.  It is also used in the chemical process industry.
